The Plan
EPDC is dedicated to establishing a program that provides technical support, guidance, policy and regulatory framework development, as well as market and feasibility studies.
These initiatives aim to ensure the long-term sustainability of a Food Terminal Program.
This collaborative effort seeks to build a network of wholesale centers.
These centers serve as avenues for the productive use of underutilized land, thereby becoming integral to urban and rural development.
By strategically establishing these wholesale centers in nearby areas that can accommodate such facilities, the aim is to alleviate congestion in major cities.
This approach is expected to spur economic activity, generate employment opportunities, and foster community development around these facilities.
